About Me

I'm Trenny and my philosophy is rather simple-I believe there are only 2 forces in this world, Love or Fear. My goal is to try to see things through the eyes of love, but I am fallible and do not always succeed. My professional career at the moment is that of a fashion stylist in New York, but my interests are varied. This blog is the like a blog ‘magazine/newspaper/journal', where I’ve combined all the elements of things that I love to learn through those mediums myself. Some life journaling, lots of music. A little health, natural product talk and recipe sharing. Random musings on life experiences, a little style, art and humour. Environment issues too as nature is our greatest gift. I hope it teaches you something, makes you laugh, or gets you interested in something different. If it fires you up,I welcome learning all different points of view. I hope that what I share, including my mistakes, encourages you. *In the end, I believe we are all each other's teachers, so whatever you might be inspired to say/share with me through this blog- good and bad- I fully welcome it. I learn just as much from you. Happiness and Love xoxo TrennyLynn - trennylynn@gmail.com

Hot Lemon Water

Water, water, water! I've touted it before on my blog, and I will surely tout it again. There are few things better for your body than this lovely, clean simple liquid. Wake up in the morning and start your day with a yummy glass. Nutritionists say that if you change nothing in a poor to mildly healthy diet, but to drink lots of water (especially starting your day first thing with a glass ), your liver will detoxify 50% better and you will see many visible health changes.
Today's little tip is for the upcoming cold weather days. I used to find myself craving hot soup, an extra cup of coffee, hot chocolate or herbal teas (which are nice) throughout out the day during the colder months. That is, until I started cutting up a fresh organic lemon and always having a container at my work place and in my fridge at home. With my water drinking quotient slightly declining in the fall/winter due to cold weather (even though I drink it room temp), I find drinking hot water with lemon is a wonderful alternative to help to keep me toasty and warm when I have a chill. It also keeps my up my water intake.
I realize the concept of hot water with lemon is not anything new, but how many of you really have fresh lemon accessible easily at work? Lemon also keeps your skin vibrant and healthy. So, next daytime reach for coffee or teas, try doing a simple hot water with lemon. Yummy and clean!
