About Me

My photo
I'm Trenny and my philosophy is rather simple-I believe there are only 2 forces in this world, Love or Fear. My goal is to try to see things through the eyes of love, but I am fallible and do not always succeed. My professional career at the moment is that of a fashion stylist in New York, but my interests are varied. This blog is the like a blog ‘magazine/newspaper/journal', where I’ve combined all the elements of things that I love to learn through those mediums myself. Some life journaling, lots of music. A little health, natural product talk and recipe sharing. Random musings on life experiences, a little style, art and humour. Environment issues too as nature is our greatest gift. I hope it teaches you something, makes you laugh, or gets you interested in something different. If it fires you up,I welcome learning all different points of view. I hope that what I share, including my mistakes, encourages you. *In the end, I believe we are all each other's teachers, so whatever you might be inspired to say/share with me through this blog- good and bad- I fully welcome it. I learn just as much from you. Happiness and Love xoxo TrennyLynn - trennylynn@gmail.com

Top Gear

I'm not a big TV watcher, but don't get me wrong, I really do like watching a good movie or a good TV program. The reason why I don't do it more, are two fold. 1)There are not alot of 'good' ones out there, and 2)when the good ones are on, I may not be home. And, I'm not one to sit around just to catch a favorite show. So, thank goodness that my boyfriend has Tivo and introduced me to the awesome show "Top Gear".
Here's what I like in a show--I like to learn something (it can be super technical too, as long as it's interesting) , I like to laugh, I like seeing other parts of the world (why I've always prefered BBC News and Public TV -they acknowledge there is a world outside of the United States), I like some adventure and I love good wit and sarcasm. So, though any guy would assume the average girl might not like a show that is primarily about cars, I LOVE this show. It has all the above and literally packs so many funny, technical, interesting things into just one hour, that you feel quite satisfied after giving your cherished downtime to a program like it. I literally laughed my butt off beginning to end during an episode last week. OH- and being a big "Biography Channel' girl, they also have fun interviews with celebrities as well. Thankfully void of the same late night snore, cliche questions. They actually have genuine fun!
I always compare spending time watching a good show vs a bad show with this metaphor. It's like a meal. A crappy show is like fast food for your brain, you feel like crap after you watch them. A good show, is like a good meal. You feel full and satisfied and you are glad you spent your time and money (ie- brain energy) on the meal.
This is a good meal show!
Check it out on the BBC, Monday nights @ 9 pm.
