Yesterday I was at the train station and these two really sweet men were handing out the above flyers. Through the month of September, they are doing a Wednesday food/school supply drive at many of the listed Long Island train stations. 10 bucks, 20 bucks, even as little as 5 bucks for something simple like 10 cans of soup could really help many hungry, struggling people.I was shocked to see how many people passed them by, but then proceeded to go into Starbucks and spend 4.50 on a Latte.
Please consider helping someone else in those little pockets of moments that you can. Life can be hard for many people, and there is ALWAYS someone worse off than you. Unfortunately. We are in this life together, don't forget.
Wherever you are, take the chance, when it arises, to donate and/or help someone.
