About Me

I'm Trenny and my philosophy is rather simple-I believe there are only 2 forces in this world, Love or Fear. My goal is to try to see things through the eyes of love, but I am fallible and do not always succeed. My professional career at the moment is that of a fashion stylist in New York, but my interests are varied. This blog is the like a blog ‘magazine/newspaper/journal', where I’ve combined all the elements of things that I love to learn through those mediums myself. Some life journaling, lots of music. A little health, natural product talk and recipe sharing. Random musings on life experiences, a little style, art and humour. Environment issues too as nature is our greatest gift. I hope it teaches you something, makes you laugh, or gets you interested in something different. If it fires you up,I welcome learning all different points of view. I hope that what I share, including my mistakes, encourages you. *In the end, I believe we are all each other's teachers, so whatever you might be inspired to say/share with me through this blog- good and bad- I fully welcome it. I learn just as much from you. Happiness and Love xoxo TrennyLynn - trennylynn@gmail.com

Healthy Homemade Breakfast Bars

Ok- it is not the perfect factory crafted Cliff Bar, but with a bit of trial and error, I have come up with a pretty decent and super healthy breakfast protein bar.

* 1 cup Cut Organic Oats (the cut ones are easier to chew once in the bar form)
*1 cup of Raisins
*1/2 cup of Coconut
*3 tablespoons cinnamon (cinnamon is one of earth's healthiest antioxidant spices)
*1 1/2 cups Fresh Peanut Butter
*1 cup Organic Honey
*1/2 cup Barley Malt

Simply mix dry ingredients and separately heat honey, barley malt and peanut butter together on the stove until melted and creamy. Pour melted mix over dry ingredients and mix with spatula a bit until cool. Once it's not too hot, get into mix with your hands and press and mix really well. Take mixed ingredients and press firmly into a 9 x 13 ungreased pan. Cover with saran or aluminum foil overnight (no need to refrigerate) and cut into breakfast bar squares next day.
This will yield 24 bars. I like to wrap each in foil and press tightly as I wrap, as I've found this makes them pretty solid and easier to eat as a bar once opened.
Yum!! They are so good and super filled with health and protein energy.
ENJOY!
