I have been, for years, of the 'Fit For Life' mindset, (Fit For Life by Harvey and Marilyn Diamond) whereas your body is still processing all the eating action from the previous day until noon the following day, so it was always suggested that you eat only vegetables/fruits (juices, smoothies) until early lunch. Though I still like doing that, there are many different schools of healthy eating and I don't just subscribe to that one solely anymore. Nice toast, oatmeal, grain cereal, yogurt, etc...is also nice. Though, still, I am not the biggest breakfast eater and tend to gravitate towards the 'same ole' ,as it were, in the a.m.
One of my favorites is organic Stoneyfield Yogurts and yummy Cliff Bars (Cliff Bars are great and chuck full of lots of daily vitamins and fiber.) Anyway, today, I tore up my oatmeal raisin Cliff bar and mixed it in with my yogurt-cuz I was pressed for eating time- and the surprising results, YUM. Next time I will add an apple or banana and what a delish breakfast snack. Try it- it's really good- not to mention really really healthy and full of vitamins and minerals.
