About Me

I'm Trenny and my philosophy is rather simple-I believe there are only 2 forces in this world, Love or Fear. My goal is to try to see things through the eyes of love, but I am fallible and do not always succeed. My professional career at the moment is that of a fashion stylist in New York, but my interests are varied. This blog is the like a blog ‘magazine/newspaper/journal', where I’ve combined all the elements of things that I love to learn through those mediums myself. Some life journaling, lots of music. A little health, natural product talk and recipe sharing. Random musings on life experiences, a little style, art and humour. Environment issues too as nature is our greatest gift. I hope it teaches you something, makes you laugh, or gets you interested in something different. If it fires you up,I welcome learning all different points of view. I hope that what I share, including my mistakes, encourages you. *In the end, I believe we are all each other's teachers, so whatever you might be inspired to say/share with me through this blog- good and bad- I fully welcome it. I learn just as much from you. Happiness and Love xoxo TrennyLynn - trennylynn@gmail.com

Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus

Tell me if you find this as funny and true as I do.

I was up last night due to insomnia, tossing and turning. And, in the midst of all this thinking, I was listening to music and began to notice an emerging pattern. All the woman were singing about men hurting them and the men were singing songs about being sorry for messing up and wishing the woman would take them back.
The pattern was that the guys were always messing up and singing things like "Baby I want you Back" or "I promise you" and the girls were singing "Why do you hurt me" and "This time I'm really gonna leave" I mean, it was so prevalent that I was actually giggling out loud as I really began to pay close attention to the lyrics.

Next time you listen to the radio, especially top 40 for some reason, notice how true this is. And I had to laugh and contemplate this. If we could both (men and women) just chill out and meet in the middle somewhere, we could break these damn men/women patterns. Then I thought, "but where would all the drama and angst that is necessary for some really good art, poetry and music, then emerge from?" Ah- one of the many ironies of life. Like the old 70's song says:

....."You have to pay your dues, if you wanna sing the blues, and ya know it don't come easy."

I think the biggest lesson to be learned for each party is this:
*Women- Don't put up with bullshit and a bad man. Just don't do it. But STOP being so sensitive
*Men-Try to be a little more sensitive and not such an ass. Then you won't be whining and having to 'win her back'.

__Easier said than done. I sure know that.
