One of my best friends from Junior High, Dana, recently did that '25 random things' thing on Facebook. She has a daughter and this was #4 on her list. Made me bust a gut.
4. My daughter, Norah Kate, tells me I'm "As pretty as a sparkly unicorn with a rainbow dress floating on a cloud" when she wants to butter me up...and it works every time.
A freaking unicorn in a rainbow dress floating on a a freaking cloud. That's some good stuff right there. **BTW- I love what imagery little kids have in their heads to describe beauty. It's almost like drag queen proportions- I absolutely love it! We, as adults, need to describe things like that more.
Hmm...actually I DO describe things like that. And, honestly, as I sit here, I can't decide if that's a good or bad thing. lol
